Winter Art-chitecture Safari

Sometimes we travel the world to discover some of the greatest treasures are in our own backyard.

In March 2009 we celebrated The Vernal Equinox with a walking tour through Toronto’s underground art and architecture.  This art-chitecture safari explored themes of nature, contemporary art and Inuit sculpture and challenged participants to  rethink the way we see our world.

Starting at Metro Hall, the tour went  through the PATH where the temperature is always 21C. The tour ended at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.

The tour of the PATH system was great. Phil kept a broad range of works and ideas wrapped up within an overall theme, he is passionate, knowledgeable and was keen to raise and discuss issues with the group on the day.
As an aside, I’ve since discovered his Webnetics blog to be a good departure point for anyone interested in web design/new media and it’s social implications.

My daughter and I really enjoyed the talk and the walk. Thank you very much. The most astonishing thing for us was the original art / mural in the Algonquin Room! Neat.
